Depends on your GPA. This was the the fall range last year 3.7-4.3 GPA, 26-30 ACT, 1760-1980 SAT. So you can get in with around an 1800 for fall. But if you don’t mind starting and summer, want to increase chances, and FSU is your top choice, then you might as well apply for summer.

If you start in fall, you’ll have to stay at FSU one summer anyway. Students are required to take at least 3 summer classes before graduating.

If you apply for Fall, and FSU doesn’t accept you for that term, you are automatically considered for Summer as well I believe. So in a way, applying for Summer directly can handicap you in that you won’t automatically be considered for Fall admission.

Pasbal is correct. We went to the admissions meeting last spring, end of my daughters jr year, and this is what they stressed. Apply early, apply for fall, and they will place you in summer if need be. GPA is more important at FSU than scores. Yes, you need decent scores and the minimums in each section but a high GPA is more favorable as it shows 4 years of work vs a test.
