should i ask a teacher for a rec if...

i fooled around a little bit in her class?
i was kind of a "class clown" i guess, but not in a distracting/slowed down the class way at all. just that i would sometimes talk to my friends and joke around with the teacher, but at the same time, i always answered questions and did very well in her class. plus she basically asked me to take her AP class and knows my personality pretty well.

is it still risky to ask for a letter though? i mean i don't want her to think i didn't take her class seriously and end up writing something like that on the rec letter..

yes may be it will be better for you

Why don’t you simply ask her if she would write a positive letter for you, or if she thinks you should look elsewhere? She knows the contents of her letter better than we possibly could.

This. Always ask with a way out for them in case they don’t want to write your rec or feel that they couldn’t write a good rec for you.

What you described sounds like it could make for a rec, though.

Thanks, guys
I ended up asking her and she didn’t even let me finish the question and said “oh yes, of course” haha it was really sweet

Depends how do you think she feels about you?
