Hi,
I am a high school senior who applied early for Purdue engineering (deadline: 11/8/13).
Few days after I completed my application, I got a log-in ID and password to track the materials that got sent. When I logged in, it said that everything was received except my transcript. My school Naviance shows that my transcript got sent on 10/25/13. Purdue website notifies that it may take up to 3 weeks to get everything processed, but it's been over 3 weeks and it still doesn't show that it was received. I talked to the lady who is in charge of sending the transcript and she said, "The schools may take up to 4-8 weeks sometimes to process everything." She assured me that it got sent.
Should I be worried? I mean, they said it may take UPTO 3 weeks, which I take it as no more than 3 weeks.

The opinion of the lady that sends transcripts doesn’t matter. The opinion at Purdue does. I suggest contacting Purdue to see if you should have it resent. Maybe they tell you “sometimes it takes longer to show up” but maybe they tell you “if it is enough there by now then we didn’t get it.” There are two ends to the channel. Even if the lady dutifully sent it, it may have been lost somewhere along the way

Thanks for the replay mikemac. So, if it did get lost along the way, do you think they would allow me to resend it and still consider it as my early action? (the deadline for EA has passed).

The transcript got sent 2 weeks before the deadline, and the Purdue website said allow 3 weeks to process everything and do not resend any of the material. So, there was no way for me to figure out whether it got sent to the school before the deadline.

Call Purdue, say you requested the transcript in October and that you’ve been assured it was sent, yet it doesn’t show, so you were wondering whether it’s still being processed or if it’s gotten lost along the way.
They will let you know and depending on the answer will very likely let you send that transcript again asap.

Thanks MYOS1634. I appreciate it. I’ll call tomorrow and see.

You should either call or e-mail Purdue’s admission office. They are actually very nice and they will help you to sort things out. I have very good experience with them.

Thanks billcsho. I called them up and they told me that they have it, but it didn’t get processed and attached yet.
