Should I bother retaking a course I got a D in?

Long story short, I got a D in a major class of mine because of some homework grading issues that the professor was not flexible on whatsoever. I actually understood most of the material the class was on. Any way, I'm registered to take it again this semester but I'm wondering if I should even bother.

I'm taking four other classes right now, three of which revolve largely around big group projects. This class I'm retaking isn't group project oriented, but it is pretty time consuming, especially towards the end of the semester. I really wanna focus on these other courses (which are 400 level rather than 300) and get great grades in them.

I'm not applying to grad school any time soon, and that class and a C in another class are the only bad grades I've gotten. My overall GPA is still pretty decent although I need to do very well this semester to get it back up to 'good' or 'great.'

If you understood the material and don’t need a C or better to move on to the next course, I’d say no- just take the hit and move on.
