<p>So, here's the thing. I know for a fact that I want to work in Marketing. You can come up with a thousand reasons why a Marketing major is a terrible idea (I've heard them all!) but I know this is what I want to do. But here's the thing, I'd prefer working in a technology based company, and for this reason I've been learning how to program on my own. (Right now I'm learning Java, already learned HTML and CSS) I was hoping a Marketing major and programming knowledge might make me more marketable but the more I read about the horrors of job prospects the more I am unsure of what to do. I know I want to work in Marketing and I know that I'm interested (in the future) in Project Management (in IT). But I also know that I do not want to be a programmer (or anything in IT involving a desk job and being in front of a computer all day) Desk jobs depress me. (I currently have one)</p>
<p>So, should I major in Marketing and continue learning to program on my own (and maybe get an MIS minor) or should I switch to MIS with a minor in Marketing? Which do you all think would look better on my resum</p>
