Should I drop math class my senior year?

Registration for classes is happening and I am going into my senior year. I have taken a ton of math so far! My freshman year I took
Algebra (A 1st semester, A second sem)
Geometry (B, B)
Algebra 2 Trig (A, A-)
My Sophomore year I took
CHS Precalculus (C, D)
And my junior year I am taking
AP Calculus (TBD, but right now its a D)
My mom doesn’t want me to take a math class senior year because of the bad grades I got in it my sophomore year and currently in my junior year. My math grade has been going up a little after every test this year! I had a 58% and after a test it went up to 60% then I took another test and it went up to 61% then I took another test and it went up to 63% and I my most recent test brought it up to 65%. So I think my second semester will be better if I don’t let it get low in the beginning of the semester.

What do you think I should do? I wanna take another math class because I actually like math. I haven’t really studied that much because I have gotten kind of lazy, but I do like the class!

Clearly you were not ready for pre-calc sophomore year!
Why were you in such a rush?
YOu should have doubled up Geometry and Alg 2 sophomore year and then did pre-calc junior year and calc senior year.

What do you think you want to major in? If it is involved math at all I would talk to your guidance counselor about retaking Calc or even precalc so you have a firm foundation for college.
