I love Brown! Unfortunately, my grades aren’t the best…
My freshman year GPA was pretty much floating aruond a 3.3 (I was really lazy BLARGH.)
My sophomore year GPA was around 4.1
My junior year GPA is 4.5
I’ll have taken 8 APs.
My SAT score is roughly 2200. I plan on taking the ACT as well as the SAT, again, tihs October.
I’ve had 2 internships and 2 jobs (as a cashier so… not that helpful?)
I’ve been playing piano for 13 years. I’m heavily involved in a large amount of clubs, but most are small league clubs that colleges probably won’t even know about. I was a semi-finalist in the Library of Congress’s “Letters to Literature” contest and I won a business competition at a business trade fair. I spent a year in my school’s coaching program, tutoring immigrant children how to speak English.

I want to go to Brown for Economics. I’d love to do their business-economics program.

I am completely in love with Brown. I was considering applying for early decision. But, when I think about it logically, I am nothing next to the statistics they have on their website. Even with that knowledge in my head though, my heart just screams “apply anyway!” I need someone who isn’t so biased to tell be quite frank. Should I bother applying to Brown, or should I apply Ed somewhere else? Do I have a chance?
