Should I explain a bad grade in a non a-g nontransferable community college course on the UC app?

I got a C in a nontransferable CC class- should I attempt to explain this even though it's nontransferable or would it just look even worse? The class was online and it ended up being a mistake that I took it because I was too busy but I was stubborn and insisted and doing it even though I had no time to study for it. Should I try to explain that this grade doesn't represent me, even though it's nontransferable, or would it come off as whiny/excessive? im not sure:/

like i dont want them to cross off the bad grade and then see my comment on it and think “wow she’s such a whiner” and then reject me based off of that…what should i do? here’s what i’d put if I were to write something

“I got this grade because I had believed I could handle an extra class in addition to my others but became too overwhelmed with my other classes and final exams to truly challenge myself with this class. Therefore I do not believe this grade is a true depiction of my academic character.”

Thoughts?
