Should I forgo APUSH?

Here's my dilemma.
Sophomore year- self studied AP Bio along with my regular level high school course and got a 5.
Now it's junior year and I'm taking a community college USH course, and I've been studying for the APUSH exam. The course is FAR from the AP curriculum, and I mean no timed essay practice ever. My teacher has been wary of grading my practice essays for the AP (in other words, she doesn't really want to grade them because she doesn't know anything about AP).
It's probably too late to start studying a new AP, considering none of the classes at school are AP level.

Would it look bad if I don't take an AP exam this year, even though I took one last year, no sweat (it was sweat, and I hardly have time to self study this year)?

I really need to concentrate on the SATs, which means increase by at least 300 points! And I need more than one month to study for 3 SAT IIs in June!

~500 views and nothing? Please, I really need to decide whether or not to change my testing schedule

When are you taking the SAT? Also in June? If taking the APUSH test is really going to stress you out, it might not be worth it. However, if you feel you have a pretty solid grasp on the material (just not the essays), you’ll probably be fine. The only essay out of the three that requires you to meet special standards is the DBQ, and those are covered extensively in most practice books.

If you can get a 5 in AP Bio, then take APUSH. It’s way easier.

Thank you for the feedback! A lot of people say the history aps are harder than the science aps, but I would never know from real life experience.

I’m taking the SAT in March. Depending if that score is satisfactory (2350+ and I get a car), I will need to retake. The only options would be May or October if I had to retake in time for BS/MD programs and such. Taking an AP in May and the SAT would be stressful, because teachers basically never work around big tests such as these for students (half the kids never even take the SAT). October is cutting it close, according to some Bs/MD directors.

I’m just wondering by the time college apps come out, will it look totally weird that I only did one AP in my entire hs career?
