Should I go to Hamilton?

I am a student at a small private school in Pennsylvania. There are about 120 students in my class. I am the president of the school, and involved in a lot of other activities, and have found relative academic success here. My school is in a suburban area and I like to go out to the movies and to dinner a lot with friends. I like the fact that I am so close with my friends, and everyone at the school - so knowing this Hamilton would seem like a good fit for me, right? I visited the school twice and liked it but I feel that it is too secluded and that there will never be anything to do there besides drink. I know the weather sucks, but I don't think that would bother me too much. I'm just worried about the area around the school and that I will be stranded on campus for my four years. I was wondering if anyone can speak to their experiences at Hamilton and address these concerns - Basically I am asking how is life at Hamilton. I wonder if you can also talk about the academics at Hamilton and how difficult they are.

I am deciding between Hamilton and Wake Forest University.

As a current student from an urban area, I share the same experiences in regards to hanging out with friends and enjoying meals. However, just because Hamilton is in a very isolated area, I have not found it difficult to still do all those same activities. My friends and I often go to the local Hanafords, go food shopping, bring it back to our dorm and enjoy both cooking and eating. Its a pretty good time haha. In regards to drinking, alcohol is as much of a presence as you want it to be. Personally I am not a big drinking and I have never felt pressured to drink.

Because we are in the middle of nowhere, Hamilton makes the effort to bring activities to the college. There are various events going on every night such as acoustic coffee events, various a capella concerts, trivia night, movie showings, discussions hosted by professors from other colleges etc. More often than not, you will have to choose between activities (or a tleast thats how I’ve found it to be).

In regards to academics, its difficult, but manageable. What I find great about the work is that there are always peers and professors who are willing to help. I can see my professor during office hours to solidify my understanding or ask some peers for help.

Sincerely, student who should be doing a paper haha.

so, trying to decide between Conn Coll, Trinity and Union?? Kind of all seem about the same.

dinero, are you deciding between hamilton and those 3? because Hamilton is the best academically, but you should see how you feel on each one of those campuses to decide.
