I am thinking about joining the football team next year as a junior, but is it really worth the time and effort??? I have never played contact football before, but will go to all the summer lifting with the team. Freshman Year I did not play any sports and had a 3.1 uw and a 3.25 w. ATM as a sophomore I have a 3.57 uw and a 3.71 w and ran Indoor Varsity track in winter and Outdoor Varsity Track in Spring. I want to continue running indoor and outdoor track, but also want to play football in the fall, is it worth the time since I have to worry about taking SAT's and ACT's junior year as well as keeping my upward trend. My junior year course load will consist of all regular classes except honors pre calc, honors chem, and AP Pysch. My goal is to mantain a 3.6 or 3.7 uw. What would you do in my situation and why, also would love your feedback on this decision???

Play football if you like football, if you will enjoy being around others on the team, and if you’ll have fun with it. Don’t try to pick up a sport as a college admissions tool; do it because you want to do it.
