I’ve had my communion and confirmation, but I identify as more of an atheist (oops!). I want to know if putting Catholic vs. None will have an affect on my admissions decision?
Thanks.

Put Catholic since you were confirmed. It could help you since Georgetown is a Catholic school.
@OnTheBubble Would they ask about my religious affiliation in an interview since interviews are basically required?
Dunno, perhaps for just statistical reasons or since Georgetown is a Catholic school, you have an edge.
Don’t lie on your application. If you have no religious affiliation (you have said you are an atheist) write “none.”
The student isn’t lying by putting Catholic.
If it’s beneficial than the student should do it. If you’re qualified it won’t really matter though
Religion is not a factor in admissions decisions. Period.
If it doesn’t matter for admissions, then you should put whichever you more strongly identify with.
If it does matter and you are, in your heart, atheist then why in the world would you want to be someplace that doesn’t really want you?
Georgetown’s Common Data Set says that religious affiliation/commitment is not considered in admissions. But honestly, if you are confirmed, you could put it down if you want to. It will likely neither help nor hurt.
