I apologize in advance for this wall of text.

I'm sure this could be a general UC question but I figure I'd post here since UCSC is where I want to go. I was admitted as a Junior transfer student for Fall '09, but due to earning a D in two classes my admissions was revoked. I spoke to an admissions evaluator and she said that I need to retake the classes and reapply for Winter quarter, making sure that I indicate on my application that my admissions was revoked and I'm attempting to resolve the issue. As much as I would love to write new personal statements, I can't really think of anything else to write. If I used my personal statements from my previous application, with minor modifications to reflect my current situation, how would this affect my admissions?

Also, I recently participated in a 9-week scientific research program at CSULB. I had to apply for the program against other community college applicants. I was "auxiliary staff" and paid 40hrs/week. I want to add this to my application but I'm a little confused as to where I should place it (my major is molecular biology or plant science). Should I mention it in my personal statement, under work experience, or somewhere else?
