I recently turned in my Harvard application, along with my supplemental essay. However, I just noticed that I uploaded my supplemental with two slight grammatical errors. I wrote whip cream instead of whipped cream and then added an extra word to a sentence that doesn’t really change the content of the sentence but it’s obviously out of place. I have the option of resubmitting after speaking to the office of admissions. Is it worth resubmitting and telling Harvard my errors or not mentioning anything at all and leaving it like that?
What you are having is called submissions-remorse. You pushed the submit button and are now discovering errors in your essays and are panicking. If you keep looking, I’m sure you will find more errors in the coming weeks.
While you could submit a corrected copy, that would only be calling attention to the errors. If you are rejected, it will not be because of small errors in your essay. You need to let it go and move on.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing and I don’t think it would be worth bringing to light my flaws when in reality they might be overlooked. Thanks!
