should I retake a 770 math2

they would obviously take a look at the percentile

Why? What's the use for them in college admissions? What MORE does % tell them that a 780 vs. 800 does not? (Think about it....)

btw: Many app readers don't even see the official score report. When apps roll in, all paperwork is stuffed in a folder with the applicant's name on it. Then, an intern/clerk/volunteer reviews the transcript and test scores, and writes those data points on the OUTSIDE of the folder to save the admissions reader time. Without even opening the folder, in a two second glance of the outside of the folder, the admissions reader can see name, HS, gpa, class rank (if published), and required test scores .....

looking at this chart:
<a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/SAT_subject_tests_percentile_ranks.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/SAT_subject_tests_percentile_ranks.pdf</a></p>

a 770 is 84%

that is unacceptable for a cc'er :P

P.S.
LOL an 800 on the Korean subj test is 65%

Whether or not they look at the percentile, colleges still GET the percentiles. That is a judge of how well you did in comparison to others. If they get 5 students with 800s and only 4 spots left, they would obviously take a look at the percentile.

PERCENTILES ARE BASED ON THE SCALED SCORE AND NOT THE RAW SCORE. A 44/50 IS THE SAME PERCENTILE AS A 50/50 BECAUSE THEY'RE BOTH 800s.

was all caps really necessary?
but yes, you are right...

@ ModernChem

And Chinese is 54%. bahaha
