I would never retake the same score in another test, but this is Math 2 (with its very generous curve) and I'm an international aiming for Princeton. Is this score worth retaking? Would appreciate any opinions.

When you get your score, there is always an accompanying score range, which essentially says that your performance could have fluctuated depending on the test. In the case of 800’s, the accompanying score range is 780-800, which states that on another test, a person who scored an 800 could have scored a 780. So although 780 and 800 are not the same number, adcoms know the significance of the score range, and they certainly won’t hold the fact that you scored 20 points lower against you.

That being said, if you are ABSOLUTELY sure you can get an 800 and are bothered by the score, you should retake.
