After three attempts, I have a (630r, 760m, 710w, 9e) 2100 superscore and a (610r) 2080 single-sitting. I have improved each time, from 1840 to 1990 to 2100.

I think my score is good enough to get into UNC Chapel Hill (In State) which is my number one choice, but I also want to try to get into Duke.

I feel that I can raise my score to around a 2200, but don't know if I should place the SAT retake over my other options of taking subject test or the act.

Would taking the SAT four times be too many?

Any suggestions on what I should do to improve my chances at UNC Chapel Hill and Duke?

College admissions will think you are test obsessed, they quoted an admissions officer I read somewhere saying so and my guidance officer advised me not to when I was thinking the same thing.

4 tests is too many. Don’t make it seem like u r trying too hard. But can you consider trying the ACT? that might be a better test for you. What grade r u in?
Even if you got into UNC u can still take classes at Duke and go to graduate school there. Duke is engineering/math focused. What is ur intended major? Duke may not be the one for you if you are not a math person.

I don’t think you should take it again. You might have topped out. In my experience, the people who get 2200+ are the people who got 2000 the first time without studying a bit and never broke a sweat - it’s just the design of the test.

Also, I never recommend chasing a number. Focus on the rest of your application now, or more importantly, choosing a major! Good luck patel.
