Should i retake SAT2

I took SAT2 chem sophomore year and got 720

THis year (junior year) in may i got 760

Should i retake it in june???

PLEASE ANSWER ME SOON!!!

a 760 is fine

what if i want to apply for hard-to-get-into schools like brown or colombia or cornell

c'mon guys please respondd!!

no, a 760 is fine. u already retook it and did great.

Three times for an SAT II? I wouldn't recommend it. A 760 is fine because if you take it again, Brown, columbia, or cornell would be expecting you to get an 800, anything below that is a no-no.

ur fine. the median for cornells like 720-760 for 50% of students admitted. as for harvard, the average score is 750-800. i got a 660, so i guess i got a long way to go :(

If someone had taken an SAT II only once and got a 760 (at least, on something very study-oriented like chemistry), I would definitely say to retake. However, if you've taken it twice... only take it again if you're sure you'll get an 800, and even then, it seems like too much of a potential risk/liability.

So you guys think the disadvantages outwiegh the advantages?

Honestly, you really think there is that much of a difference between a 750 and a 780? It's like a few questions, I highly doubt it would matter

This is what is somewhat silly about these should I retake questions is that it is not as cut and dry as yes or no. The reason is that the tests are only one part of an application. Let's say student x and student y want to apply to USA University (made this up). These two students have similiar extra circuliar activities and both got a 720 chem score, student x however has a 3.7 GPA while student y has a 3.3 GPA, there would be more reason for student y to retake the test because they might need it to help their application and to make up for their GPA, while student x might not need this boost.

Looking by the responses, im guessing a NO on retake?
