I have taken the ACT 3 times.
1- E:32 M:27 R:25 S:31
2- E:30 M:27 R:26 S:26
3- E:31 M:29 R:31 S:31
I am aiming for Ivy Leagues and other elite/ low-acceptance rate universities and was wondering if I should retake the ACT to get higher? I know scores aren’t everything, but with my dream school (Yale) havig a 32 average ACT, it makes me feel uneasy because I’m literally SOO close to meeting that. Also, all of my friends have scored 32, 33, 34,& 35 on the ACT, so I feel discouraged. I would sign up for the October 22 date, so PLEASE give me some advice!
1-Composite: 29
2-Composite: 27
3-Composite: 31
Your 31 is a great score so don’t feel discouraged. If you have Ivy League aspirations I think you should give it one more try. Good luck.
^agreed. It does not hurt to try a second time.
Didn’t late registration for the Oct 22 ACT end on Sept 30?
@annamom This would be my fourth time…
@StillLotsToLearn Yes, but they have standby requests!
@DreamforIvy what was the value of the following score in your post? delete it
2- E:30 M:27 R:26 S:26
@annamom My score was 27 for the second time I took it. What do you mean by “delete it?”
@DreamforIvy For ACT, you can write to ACT and ask ACT to delete the score (google or search old posts)…If I read your post correctly, all subscores in the 2nd ACT were lowered than the 1st and 3rd ACT…IMO, they are useless even if the college superscore…You mentioned this will be your fourth time… I am not sure how it will be relevant IF you think you can score higher…
33 is minimum but this is coming from a guy who got a 32 and 3.48 unweighted goal.
