I got a 34 Composite, but only an 8 (out of 12) on the Writing. I can't decide if I want to retake it or not. I'm a Junior in High School and took this back in October.

yea, you should retake. that 8 is simply below average. You're still a junior, go study so more and come back with at least 11+. They way you are right now, all top 20 schools will automatically reject you.

That's a lie about the rejection. You should retake senior year if the money doesn't really matter; other than that, you don't have much to lose. Good luck.

Yeah, 8 is not below average. It's not great, but I was still in the 76th (IIRC, in the 70s) percentile for writing. 99 for composite.

i was just messing with you btw

just going from the fact that you're a junior I'd take it again.
it's always good to take it in your senior year to see how much you can go up.

its a good composite, and since you only have to send in 1 score to schools, then retake it.

If it makes a difference, I had a 34 and 8 in February of my junior year. I retook in June and got a 36.
