Okay so I got a 34 composite (35E, 36M, 36R, 27S(the shame i feel for this is beyond human capacity)). I’m still not sure its worth retaking, especially since this was my first time and I went in with next to no prep.
Thanks for your input!!
If you have time it wouldn’t hurt to retake it one more time. But if you think it would be very difficult to raise your score and that it would take too much time from your ec’s then don’t
If you’re aiming for a science major, you might wanna retake it and just focus on the science bit (thank God for superscore!) but if not, then don’t worry about it, you already have an AMAZING score:)
The science score does not matter for science majors. It doesn’t test science knowledge but the ability to think logically and read graphs. No need to test unless you’re looking at MIT or CalTech.

It is a great score as it is even for MIT or CalTech. You appear to be leaning towards taking it again. If you can do it without spending too much time studying, go for it but I would not obsess on it. MIT looks at the top score for Composite and for the first two of the sub-scores. They are not concerned with the last two. You already have a 35 and 36 on those. I can’t see where it is worth much time to get it to 36 and 36 because I doubt MIT sees a 35 as different from a 36.
Thanks a lot guys! I’m not actually leaning towards to taking, but my parents would like me to.
I don’t think it would be required. You have a great score already. I would suggest do well on SAT subject tests.
