Should I retake the SAT subject tests?

Hi, I really to apply to Caltech next year. Here are my scores for the subject tests:
Math II: 800
Physics: 770
Chemistry: 770

Because I'm an Asian, I think that Caltech will expect higher scores than my currents scores. (Is that true?)
However, my situation is really special. My family immigrated to the US in August last year, and I've had a hard time adapting myself to the new environment. Moreover, the overall academic performance of my high school is very low: Our average ACT composite score is 16. (The national average is 21).
So should I retake the subject tests in order to be "good enough" for Caltech?

Being Asian should not have an effect on Caltech’s admissions, since they are pretty much the only merit-only admissions college in the country. They expect the same high standard from all their students.

That said, 800 is pretty much within the standard deviation of your scores, so unless you are really, really confident that you can raise them, it may not be worth taking again.

Those were my pretty much my exact SAT II subject test scores. Relax dude.

Haha, mine were worse than that.

Those are excellent scores; no worries.

thanks for ur advices!

Don’t bother. Those are good scores.
