Should I retake the SAT's?

Hello CCers

am 18, and planning to transfer to Brown, Columbia, or NYU as a juniour transfer from a community college. I took the SAT in January for the first time and scored a 1920. Do you think I should take the SAT again or would it just be a waste of time even if I score higher. I am currently passing all my classes(except english, which I'm going to fail due to poor attendance, but I will explain that on the app) with A's and I have just one B. I also hope to impress them with my essay as my unusual background could be quite interesting. So do you think I should take the SAT again? Would you take it again if you were me?

NB: I am not an American, but I have a green card, so I won't be an international student. I'm also planning on transfering Fall 2012

I'm sorry it's a bit long, I wanted to get all the details in.

Answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

Bump …???

Are you in a community college now? I don’t understand your plan.

I would say take it over, try to score something within 2200, I mean your score isn’t bad but if you take it over and get a higher score it sure the hell won’t hurt your application. Hope everyting works out :)
