Im currently in my senior year. I know next year s gonna be the hardest one of my life, so right now i have to use time wisely. I got 88 on TOEFL test, 2250 on SAT 1, retake SAT 2 in October. I ll have to do a lot of work this summer to finish my porfolio, so should I retake TOEFL test? It's not high but I think it's enough, how's everyone think? Thank you guys in advance

what univs do you want to apply?
your sat is pretty high,,(very high for me anyway..hihi)
your toefl,,,88 = is what in PBT? above 550? i think if you got above 550,,you're safe in most of univs...but some univs require more..(above 600).. also for scholarship,,usually they ask for above 600.. so it really depends on your selection..

good luck..

88 in ibt? if that's the case i'd strongly recommend retaking it and pushing it into the three figures region, maybe prepare yourseld a little bit, should work that way

^I second that.

Such a good SAT I score means u would have got not less than 650 in CR.

If so, even selective univs waive the requirement of TOEFL(Ex:Carnegie)

If u already have a shortlist of colleges where u are going to apply, check out their policies, rather than wasting your time on a fairly useless test!

^ exactly
you did a dumb thing giving it in the first place.
Don't need to send the scores if you have a 650+ in CR and if you have a 700+ in CR then none of the colleges need you to give TOEFL.

How did you get a mere 88 on the easy toefl and a 2250 on SAT? unreal. I would even say impossible, unless you were drugged while you were taking the toefl

shreya is correct. Email the adcoms of the colleges and unis you'll be applying.

Well, a few colleges do require TOEFL scores regardless of your SAT scores. Very selective colleges usually require a score of 100.

I would advise you to check with the colleges you are interested in whether or not they require TOEFL scores given your SAT scores. If they do require it, check what their minimum requirement is. Most 'good' colleges require a minimum score between 80 and 100. If your score is below their minimum score, ask yourself if you want to retake the TOEFL for that particular college or if you just won't apply there.

Your SAT and TOEFL scores would fulfill the language requirements of most colleges, but you might be interested in an "unlucky" combination of colleges that require high TOEFL scores no matter what. If that turns out to be the case, retake the TOEFL.

Edit: If your overall score is low because the score of one particular subsection has been very low (e.g. only a 15 on the speaking section), you should consider working on that skill and retaking the test. Most colleges will have issues if your reading or writing scores are too low (which I doubt given your SAT score). A low speaking score might put you at a disadvantage in the admission process at smaller colleges which usually offer many discussion-based classes.

The main point out here is that you contact the adcoms of the colleges you will be applying. If they are fine with your stats, then you need not worry. But, if not, retake TOEFL.

As a whole, I'll suggest you to retake TOEFL. If you raise your scores to triple figures, you'll have a wide range of colleges to choose from and there would be no issues about lanuguage proficiency when you apply for visa.
