Should I send an SAT score if the score is the same but the superscore improves by 10?

I scored a 1470 on both SAT’s, 770 Math 700 Reading for the first, 760 Math 710 Reading for the second, but my superscore improves my SAT by 10 points in the Reading Section.

My essay score however goes down from the first one from an 18/24: Reading 7/8 Analysis 4/8 Writing 7/8 to an essay score of 14/24 6/8 Reading 2/8 Analysis and 6/8 Writing.

Does the decrease in essay score matter, and should I send the second score.

To clarify, I got a 34 on my ACT, but am sending SAT scores because I did well in the Math Section as I am applying Engineering, and have already sent the first one.

Superscoring applies to the entire test, so a lower essay score will just be ignored. (Honestly, unless you’re applying to a limited number of schools, both will probably be ignored anyway).

10 points won’t make much of a difference, but it doesn’t hurt - might as well send it.
