<p>I haven’t checked my AP scores yet, but I have a pretty bad feeling and won’t be checking it until the 12th of August, when I go back to school. Would scores like 3 and 4 definitely hurt my chance?</p>
<p>I don't think they use AP scores for anything but placement. I'm not sure though. Not worth worrying as there's nothing you can do about it now.</p>
<p>You do not have to report AP scores to anyone. Just make sure they are not recorded on your high school transcript. Then, if you like them after all, you can have them sent later.</p>

<p>You took the AP course at your HS and took the exam?? I would think that your HS transcript is going to reflect the course as AP and that perhaps colleges will then wonder why you aren't reporting a score? Also, how does your HS grade you for the class....is there a high grade showing??? I guess you can use the excuse that you were ill on AP exam day. You need to research exactly how your transcript will read and how your school profile reads.</p>
<p>I don't think it's that unusual to take an AP class and not take the exam, especially at a school like mine where the students front the entire $80+ cost for each exam. I took 10 AP courses and only 5 exams in high school. Wouldn't admissions rather see you perform well in an AP course and not take the exam, than to just take the level below it?</p>
