I’ve read that wow week is now going to take place from Friday to Monday right before school starts instead of the whole week. Also, the price is now $175. Do you think it is worth it even if it is a few days long?

Where did you hear that?

Someone on facebook brought it up. Also, on here, [WOW - Student Life & Leadership - Cal Poly](http://studentlife.calpoly.edu/orientation/wow/home/highlights.asp), it says the wow kick off doesn’t start until September 14.

Yes, do not miss WOW Week or even WOW Weekend. It is and always will be important.

I agree. WOW is a MUST! And, no it’s not a full “week” any longer. My daughter was a freshman in 2010 and they changed it so there was only ONE full weekend during WOW. Too many parties were happening when they dedicated two weekends to WOW. By the way, it’s redundant to say “WOW Week” because WOW means Week of Wow. Before WOW is Fall Launch, which makes up part of the week. Definitely spend the money for it. It was well worth it for my daughter.

^ WOW = Week of Welcome.

OMG–I meant Week of Welcome! That’s what I get for being up so late! I’ll correct it. ;)

I goofed and meant to say WOW= Week of Welcome (instead of Week of Wow like I mistakenly wrote.) I guess I need to go to bed earlier! :-/

The whole town seems spirited during WOW week. I live here and have for two years and you definitely want to be a part of it if you’re just moving here. You get discounts and meet a ton of people, have a group to show you around, etc. If I hadn’t already been here and transferred from Cuesta I would have done it but I’ve felt like I’ve been a part of it just from living here and having my friends go through it. That being said, if it weren’t for the expense and seeing it previously, I would do it.
