I just received my scores for the January SAT and found that I got the same score as last time–1430. Although superscored, my score would be 1460. When I took the ACT I got a 32 without studying in December. Do you think it is possible for me to get a 34+ if I spend March studying and take it in April?
I also got a 1460 on the PSAT, which in theory means I should have gotten a 1500 on the SAT, which I got a couple times on practice test, but evidently was unable to get on the SAT.
I understand that these scores are good, but I want to take away the possibility of them hurting me in applications at a top 30 school. Thanks!
I have 5 kids… the oldest never took the ACT, but the other 4 hands down performed better on the ACT. Every single one… we just started going with that. One of mine got a 30 with no prep at all as well which got her what she needed at her choice school so we never went farther but I would have done prep with her for ACT if we had needed to do so.
I know quite a few kids who were “stuck” with some what lackluster SAT scores who were able to study their way to ACT scores of 33-35. It’s worth a try.
