Should I take AP Lit and Lang?

I am graduating a year early and am currently enrolled in AP Lit. I have the option of also taking the AP Lang exam, but I’m not sure if it’ll do anything since I’ve heard colleges only reward credit for one or the other.

I am applying to UC schools and some privates (Vanderbilt, USC, etc.) Should I take both exams? What scores should I be aiming for? (I’ve heard some schools only accept 5s)

Thanks!

Don’t graduate a year early - use your last year to take dual enrollment classes at a community college, for free.
Early graduation usually severely limits admissions since equally accomplished students took one more year to develop something important to them and take more classes. You should only graduate early if your safety at home or at school is compromised or if there are no classes for you to take anywhere.
(USC has a special program for advanced have students - are you applying?)
College admissions are interested in your taking the class, participating, doing group projects, etc. The exam itself only matters for credit at universities that grant it, which not all do.
