Should I take both SAT and ACT?

Hey, I have a question.

I'm going to prep for SAT during the summer (Not Kaplan). This week, my friend at Kaplan is going to give me a discount on either SAT or ACT classroom courses.

Should I take SAT prep again at Kaplan after I finish the other SAT prep (Further better my SAT score) or take a ACT course and take both the SAT and ACT test next year?

What do you guys think?

Thanks In Advance! :)

I’d say try the ACT one. I took both the SAT and ACT, and did better on the ACT. They’re very different kinds of tests though. It would definitely be to your advantage to get a feel for the ACT though, to see if it may actually fit you better than the SAT (and thus result in a higher score). Just my two cents though.

Thanks,
Do colleges take either an ACT or a SAT score or can you request them take both scores (in case you did well on both tests) :)

A lot of people are doing it now. It couldn’t hurt. My kid definitely did better on one kind of test than the other.
