I don't know, I'm kind of scared someone is gonna take it, especially since I'll be living in a triple. I have to deal with double the roommates and friend flow in and out of my room. I've had it for 2 years, and I seriously take pictures everywhere, it's my hobby. Plus, I was thinking of cross registering at an art school nearby (I can do that, I've spoken to my school and checked) taking a photography course. If I do take it, any ideas of how to possibly take care of it so that when I'm not in my room, someone doesn't steal it?

Get a heavy 2 drawer filing cabinet with a lock and keep your lenses and other equipment in there.
Same for your laptop and wallet.
That way if your roommates bring in sketchy people, it is locked and out of sight.
I kept mine in my dorm closet.
And no one had any reason to be in my closet.

Have your parents add your camera to your homeowner’s insurance.
