I am junior who already took the SAT twice.
My highest score is 1730 because i moved to US three years ago.
Should i take it again in senior with more practice or just give up?
Or if you have any advice please tell me:)
thank you so much

Hey!

I took the SAT three times… January of my junior year, and november /January of my senior year.

I would say keep trying! And also consider taking the ACT. My highest scores were actually the January SAT and December ACT of my senior year (I know super last minute). I studied really hard and scored pretty high. If I had told myself to give-up, I wouldn’t be where I am now.

So I always tell people to try! I know it’s recommended to not take the test more than three times, but I think colleges would rather see a high score more than anything. If you can get in the 1900 range I think you would have a good shot at a lot of colleges.

Also, my father was an international applicant and scored a perfect score on math/critical reading. It’s possible! English is not his first language and he came from a poor family.

Good luck!

thank you!
After taking SAT for 2 times, I start to doubt that if i even have a chance of going to a decent college.
Most of my friends got a least 2000, so i kind of stop believing in myself.
But after reading your post, i decide that i’ll keep trying.
Again, thank you so much

The score does not improve just by taking it multiple times, unless you prepare smart. You should try again but go through different posts here regarding preparing for SAT (most of the good one’s are sticky) and make a sound plan on how you plan to improve. Identify your week area’s and have a clear plan on how will you counter them.
