Should I take the ACT again?

Hi I'm an international student and on the December ACT (my first ACT) I got:
33 Composite
36 English
36 Math
29 Reading
32 Science
8 Essay

I'm currently a Junior so I still have several test dates that I could retake the ACT. I'm unsure if I retake the ACT I will be able to get the two 36s, as on all my practice exams the best results I got were 32 in English and 35 in Math. I didn't study that first time for the Reading section (foolish, I know), and thus I got a 29. I know that with some more studying I can get around 32-34. The essay I hadn't practiced at all before the exam and I was surprised I was able to get an 8 on it. I guess my question comes down to how much "superscoring" is done on ACTs, if I submit two tests how much do they look at the highest scores in each section. Also, is it really worth it for me to submit two very similar composites just so that I can raise a Reading score by 2-4 points when I'm looking to apply to STEM universities?

I believe that unless you think you can score above your composite from the December ACT, there’s really no need for you to retake it. From my personal knowledge, colleges don’t care for your Writing score unless it’s extremely low. You scored average in the Writing portion(to me and from what I’ve seen from fellow ACT takers). Your composite, however, looks very good for your first time.

Try a few full timed practice tests to see if you get a higher score. You should retake a test only if you can do better.
Most schools do not superscore ACT.
