I am semi-prepared for the ACT test which is on this Saturday. I can not prepare till Thursday because of finals. Should I even attempt?

I am assuming you are a junior. There are dates for the ACT in September and October, so you can take it those dates, but remember that if you applying EA / ED the due date for applications is generally November 1.
That being said, I WOULD TAKE THE TEST because you can decide whether or not to send your scores to colleges and will not receive any monetary compensation for canceling scores. Also, you may be pleasantly surprised with your scores and it is worth taking the test just to see how you did or even for practice for the September test.
Have you taken the test before? I would just take it!
Take it. If you bomb, you can permanently delete the score.

S2 only prepped by taking several practice exams from the study book and did great. The advantage of taking the test at the end of the school year is that class work by itself often prepares students well for the test. You will have time to take some practice tests. This will give you an idea of how you may do, although sometimes actual test conditions seem to make people do even better. Pay close attention to problems you miss in practice, and look for time saving tips in the prep book.
