I recently took the SAT and got a 2320 (my first time taking it). I plan to take the SAT again to raise the score. However, I don't know if I should take the ACT. I'm already signed up but my parents will allow me to opt out of the long, long test if I want to. Would taking the ACT really do anything at this point?

Additional info: I got a 30/31 on the PLAN

Thanks!

Yes. You might get a 36. Read up about the science section though. It can be quite a shock if you don’t look at a few examples (Mostly because of the time limit)

unless you want to go to a school that specifically requires the act, i am not sure why you’d want to bother. any place that accepts both will obviously already be thrilled with your sat scores.

He doesn’t have to send in scores… and if he does really well it will just reinforce college’s opinions of him.
