Should I take the job?

So I've had two jobs all summer. One of them was at a summer theme park, and my last day was yesterday. The other one was at a daycare where I got 6 to 8 hour shifts. However, during the school year, I'd only get 2 hour shifts, because obviously the kids are in school for the majority of the day. Anyway, so I'm pretty much out of work.

So, I have an interview today for a thai restaurant. I would be a general helper, meaning I'd do kitchen duties sometimes, cleaning sometimes, and sometimes even hostessing/waitressing. I'd make 7.25 an hour, 5 hour shifts. Now here is my dilemma. The place is 26.5 miles away from where I live. Meaning I'd be putting 53 miles on my car a day, probably four days a week. I spent 2500 dollars on my car and am quite attached to it >.< I'm also trying to have it so my car will last me through college. However, I realize that this might be the only job I can get... It is certainly the only place that has called me back. And I need to have a job.

Also, though, I live in a place where it is expected to have to drive to get anywhere. The closest town and walmart is 20 miles away. The only place hiring close to where I live has not called me back and it's been four days since I called up there asking them to review my application. The manager there is known for only hiring people she knows or her friend's kids.

I really am rambling on, sorry. Anyway, do you guys think I should take the job or look for another one? Has anyone else on here driven just as far or farther to get to their job? How did that go?
