To start off, I need a car.
And my parents are paying for my exchange this summer, so I'm on my own to buy it.

So, first off, here's my schedule:
(I'm a Junior)
Pre Calc Honors
AP Literature 11
AP USH
Driver's Ed/Study Hall 2nd semester
Band
Honors Chemistry

AP Spanish

I'm picking up a job at a Chick-fil-A in town, and I'll be working three days a week:

Have you taken a schedule like your current one before? Are you sure you can handle that work, do you know how much homework to expect, and most importantly, how are your organization and work ethic? Do you think you can get everything done? We have no idea; we're people who don't know you outside a forum. You are the best judge of your potential.

try it out for a while, you can always quit a job but you will never know until you try.

My junior year I was falling behind on insurance payments, I had all honors classes and 1 AP (6 classes as we don't do block), not to mention a job that had me working from 4-1:30am on friday and saturday, and then a management job that had me working til 9 on almost every weekday. You miss out on some fun, but in my case i couldn't get into debt, its not to hard to balance, you have to try it out for a couple of months and tweak it to make it work. Now I've been accepted to UCF and I am enjoying my senior year because all the hard work paid off last year. However, NEVER sacrifice your schoolwork for a job. EVER

As I've probably said a million times on here, these threads in the end are meaningless because it depends on the person and differs in every scenario. No offense but honestly common sense says that you should be discussing something like this with people that know you, but still you should be able to know yourself. Try it out a couple of days and see how it works?

Aside from my useless reply, though, I'd say try to lessen the work hours - they seem a little too long.

I wouldn't suggest it-- cut something out.... ask for less hours.
I'm currently working Fri. & Sun. and I'm dying. However, I play school soccer, which is 6 days a week, plus college apps, and a ridiculous schedule.

It just gets really hard to balance homework and work... and if you want a social life...

Try it out...That seems like a pretty intense schedule and, if possible, cutting down on work hours would be good, but you won't know till you try.
