Should I take the Math 1 or Math 2? And how should i prep for it?

Should I take the Math 1 or Math 2? And how should i prep for it

I need to take either of these tests to get into the engi school at University of Texas, and i guess it would look great on my application to other skools that dont require it.

Which of the two would u all recommend taking?
I got a 680 on the math art of the SAT reasongning test, does that reflect how well i would do on these?

Btw i need at least a 560 on the Math 1 or a 530 on the Math 2

im planning on taking it on November

thanks

The scores you need are below the national average for these tests, so you should be fine, considering your SAT I math was well above average :)

Take both.

Nearly every engineering program prefers Math 2. But, M-2 requires that you have completed PreCalc. If you have not, then take Math 1.

^thanks for the response, right now i am taking precalculus at skool as a dual-enrollment honors course (but for some reson they call it Math Analysis Honors)

In that case Ill take the SAT I since I am currently have not completed PreCalc.

So what book should I use to review and prep for the Math I?

thanks again

Math 2, in my opinion make you a better applicant, Its more compose of trig and algebra, whereas math 1 is composed more of algebra and geomety.
Get the 15 realistic test for SAT II. by Meylani & PR math I & II.
Though meylani is difficult compare to PR, it really boost up the score.

Well either your taking math 1 or 2 i suggest you get barrons and PR. barron toughens you up and pr have similar questions to the collegeboard. And also get the book practice test for SAT II: MATH I & II by collegeboard. (realistic questions) If you want more prac test go sparknotes and sign up for one free practice test of any sat subject test. though ppl say sparknote's questions varies. Well thats all i can say about my opinions. best of luck.

Are you taking it as a placement test at UT?
Math I would be easier for you.
