Should I take the old SAT?

Hi everyone!
I’m currently a freshman in high school, and my tutor believes that taking the old SAT would be better for me. Due to when the new one is coming out, I would have to finish taking the new SAT by January of next year, which might be hard, but with intensive bootcamp and practice tests I think I can do it. I know a lot of you think it’s too early to be thinking about this, but I believe it’ll be better this way because the new SAT will have more math (my weakness!) and we won’t really know how to prepare for it. Also, I’ll be able to focus more on my classes and SAT IIs junior year.

I have a few questions:
Are college going to be impressed that I finished my SAT Sophomore year, or will they question why I didn’t decide to take the new one?

Assuming I get a decent score (2150+) will taking the old SAT have a positive impact on colleges or would they look down on it?

Just FYI-
I took a practice PSAT last week, and I got a 193. That’s not a great score, I know, but I practically aced the writing and did pretty well on the reading. I did well on the math I’m learning right now, I just forgot all of my basics (sloppy, I know). If my math score had been around what my reading score was, I would’ve definitely gotten above 200. I’d have to brush up on math a lot and learn vocab and work on essays.

Do you guys think I should go for it?
