I am currently taking Algebra 2. I have taken Geometry and Algebra 1. Do you think I can self study my way to get a 700+ score? If so, when should I start studying? Thanks.
Wait until you have taken pre-calc.
Agreed. If you were taking precalc in 10th grade, then it’s fine to take it, but there is no point in rushing it if you don’t have the proper preparation.
@TheMadScientistX If you are currently taking Algebra II, I would recommend waiting another year. The Math II subject test is not easy and definitely requires precalculus knowledge (as a matter of fact, I even saw some common calculus questions in the Barrons practice tests, but they could all be solved without using calculus).
Unless you know yourself to be extremely motivated and diligent, and think that you can self study ~1 full school year’s worth of math material, then I would recommend waiting another year.
