First sat - 1410(700r&w,710 math) second sat 1420(650r&w,770 math). Should I take it again and try for a high reading score to make a really great superscore? I’m trying to get into Colombia.
My first reaction was that if you got the same score twice then assuming you have studied all along, then that is probably pretty close to where you will end up again. But reading that you want Columbia I’d study more and take it again. Right now your superscored SAT is below the 25th percentile for Columbia and you want to try to get to around the midpiont. https://undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu/classprofile/2020
Have you considered trying the ACT? Some students perform better on that exam (not that your performance on the SAT wasn’t strong – but it is below the averages for Columbia).
As a piece of unsolicited advice, I would warn against having one hyper-competitive dream school You need to expand your horizons and recognize that there are many wonderful schools out there where you can have a great 4 year experience and get where you want to go in life.
Yeah i actually have other ivys I wanted to try for I just balanced to pick Colombia. As for the same score if it truly was I wouldn’t try again but in the sections I shot up in math and dropped in reading. If I can maintain math and shoot up my reading I could get much higher
