My GPA isn't competitive enough, and I haven't taken the SAT yet I plan to take it this May, but I'm really good at History so should I take the Us History and World History to give me an edge on my application. I also took the practice test for it on College Board, and managed to get them all right, in fact the questions are way to easy. The math was hard for me, the Biology was ok I might get in the 500s. The colleges i want to go to are Penn State University Park, Syracuse university, and University of Pittsburgh.

So would a Sat score (expecting of 1550 - 1800)
World History (expecting a 800)
Us History (650 - 800)

look good or bad because it's the same subject?

If you’re planning on a liberal arts major, there’s no downside to submitting two history SAT II’s. But I would caution you about the college board practice tests. My kids have commented on how easy those practice tests are. My kids would say you should take a few Princeton Review or (even harder, usually) Barron’s practice tests if you want a better guage of your score potential.

Then again, if you’re planning on majoring in liberal arts at one of the schools you mentioned, I’m not sure any SAT II’s would be necessary at all.

I would recommend against any science or math SAT II’s until you feel well prepared.

should I take the US History Subject test. I am not in ap or honors us history, but got an A. I don’t know what I should take for the second subject test, I took the french is did badly 480? help
