Should I take the SATs again, and overall what are my chances of getting in?

I'm highly interested in attending Rutgers New Brunswick next year, and was wondering if taking the SATs one more time will really boost my chances of getting in. I'm looking to major in Criminal Justice, and possibly minor in or double major in Public Health. However, I will most likely apply to the school of Arts and Sciences early action.

I've taken the SATs twice. My combined score is 1670. GPA is 3.45 unweighted 3.47 weighted, mostly college-prep + a few honors classes.

My extracurriculars are solid. I'm an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) for my local Rescue Squad, and am very interested in being an EMT for Rutgers. In addition to that, I'm CPR certified and have a couple of other certifications related to EMS. I'm active in my Church, specifically with the Vacation Bible School camp that the Church runs. I've done track all three years of high school.

I have no issue with taking the SATs again Oct. 1 to boost my chances. I just wanted to see what others thought regarding it improving my chances or not, and overall how likely or not I will get in.

Thanks!

I think it’s pretty likely you will get in as is (for SAS).

thank you very much!

i did have a 1710 sat and got wait listed this year (CS for SAS). after a couple of months they informed me that they won’t accept any additional students on the wait list for SAS (+ some other schools) at all due to the amount of student applied.
according to collegeboard this years students did have a SAT of 1620 - 1950.

Helps if you have a good GPA to offset a lower SAT, and apply as early as you can.

@shu8i90,
did you apply early action or regular decision?
