Should I tell a school I won't be attending?

So I got off a waitlist for a school and plan to go there. But, I already sent in a deposit back before the May 1 deadline. So, should I tell the first school i won;t attend due to me being off a waitlist? Would there be any problems if i don;t tell them? I'm assuming if I don't sign up for an orientation date, then i won't receive a schedule for classes so they can't bill me right?

If you have deposited at a second school ( your wait list school) you must inform your original school that you are attending another school.
Your original school then can offer your spot to a waitlisted student.

Of course. Would you cancel a dinner reservation if you decided to go elsewhere? Or just be a jerk and leave the first restaurant hanging? Why wouldn’t you be thoughtful and professional? And why wouldn’t you want to let them know when it’s as simple as typing an email?

Seriously. Just email the admissions office. After all, you wouldn’t have been taken from the wait list at School B unless somebody else notified them that he or she wouldn’t be enrolling.
