Should i test standby?

So heres my dilemna. My scores put me in the lower range of the schools that im applying to (villanova, Boston, wake forest, notre dame). I have a 620 cr, 710 m, and a 560 w. I also have a 30 on the ACT. Right now my ACT is much better than my SAT. Would I be alright sending both, or would it be worth my time to get my SAT to a 2000? BTW I havent prepped for this test at all. I think my scores could have been flukes though, since for the math ACT i scored a 33=750 and for the writing ACT I scored a 31=700. Please help.

According to my knowledge, you can send both. Colleges would compare SAT and then put into their consideration for ACT. Don't worry.

Of course, if you feel it is so insecure, you can take SAT 1 again. But my friend also has 31 on ACT and something around 1900 in SAT. He applies to University of Texas at Austin and he got accepted.

Good luck

i think you should do standby. it can't hurt you. you don't even have to send if it isn't a good score. i'm gonna do it.

adrian is right, I think your ACT score is good enough, if you like, you can send them ACT first, and then retake SAT and if you get good in SAT too, that is a party, if not, nothing is going to happen too serious, you know.

why does standby have to cost so much :( i hate collegeboard

lol thanks for the advice, i think ill just work my way through the blue book this week and go for it on saturday. nothing really bad can come out of it. Best of luck to the rest of you.

fragging standby costs -_-;; they are just trying to steal money from us
