Should I Transfer to TCNJ?

I’m a freshman at Binghamton University though I’m heavily thinking of transferring to TCNJ or Rutgers because I want to major in communications/journalism. Bing doesn’t have a communication department or even a journalism major, so i’m stuck majoring in English Lit & Rhetoric if I stay there. I’m really assimilated to the place but it’s very lonely at times and the only thing I enjoy doing is their newspaper. I was wondering if TCNJ would be a good college for communications? I’m interested in working in the city and having internships there and I’d like a college with opportunities for the major.I love how TCNJ’s campus is walkable, but I also heard it’s boring. Rutgers is a lot bigger but I don’t like how disjointed the campuses are. Any opinions? BTW i’m from NJ so Bing is almost 2x the tuition as a NJ school would be

not sure why you would ever choose Bing over TCNJ as a NJ resident. TCNJ is a great school and veryvery well recognized for its academics and happy student body. But like anywhere, its up to you to get involved. They have enough to keep you busy 150% of the time , its up to the student to make it happen. Same with internships, there are some great ones but it takes the student to make it happen.

My daughter’s went to Bing and TCNJ>…we found that the OOS cost for Bing was about just a little more than in state for TCNJ. Both excellent values.
