<p>you could always send a picture even if you use the common app. by the time the adcom reads it all, i doubt they'll be able to tell who used which app.</p>

<p>because everything gets typed up and put onto basically the same format. i promise you they wouldn't mind if you sent a picture with the common app - they might even appreciate it.</p>
<p>You can send in a picture with the Penn supplement to the Common app, that's what I did.</p>
<p>i sent in a picture with my penn supplement. Even though I used the common app, I didn't write an optional essay and I got in. However, for Vagelos, I had to write another essay so that might be different from your situation.</p>

if u want to fit another essay, go with the common app definitely. that's what im doing.</p>

i know it is stated that they don't discriminate against common app, but maybe subconsciously, they do prefer their own application over the common app.</p>
