Ok, I know the website has the information, but I'm a little lost with where the bus stop is for the shuttle. I know it's at University+Oxford. So, it is on the side where Yalis Cafe is or the other side where the campus is?

And do I have to go directly to the Department of Parking+Transportation for my tickets?

Thanks.

Do you know where West Gate is? It's that crescent shaped entrance on the west end of campus where there's some construction going on. The bus stops at the middle of the crescent, just across from where that little parking booth is at West Gate.

And yes, you have to go to the department to buy the tickets.

Make sure to get there on time, and to be attentive to the bus driver. If you're late or you don't hear the driver calling for reserved ticketholders, your seat will be given up to people who don't have reservations, and well, that sucks.

Yeah, what unnecessarily hot said. I just finished taking it (wed. night to Davis, thurs. afternoon back to Berkeley) and it wasn't crowded (all standbys got on), but try to make reservations.

Yeah, I just found out that the shuttle doesn't run on the weekends. ***?! That just ruined my plans. And Amtrak+Bart would cost like $40 for a roundtrip to Davis.

so generally how early do ppl get there? I want to take the friday one at 11:30 am on standby, but the earliest i can get there is about 11:17
On the website it says you should get there AT LEAST 15 min early if you're on standby.., so does this mean i might not get a seat (since its a friday?)

And if you DO have a reservation , how early do you have to get there so your seat isnt given up to ppl on standby?

I went on the 11:30 am shuttle some weeks back on a friday, and it wasn't even half full. You'd most likely get a spot. Just arrive before take off.

^thanks
but how about standby for the Monday 7:30 am shuttle from Davis back to Berkeley? Anyone know what's the likelihood of getting on that one? Or should i also ask this in the Davis forums?
