Significance of late and multiple Harvard interviews

<p>Over the past month or so there has been a lot of discussion on the significance of being contacted for late or multiple Harvard interviews. When my daughter received the call for her second, I went to look at past years on CC and there was very little information about these interviews. On this thread, I have made a consolidated list of members who had either multiple or late interviews. I am hoping that CC members will update/add/correct this information. Also, I hope that some of us will feel like posting Harvard’s decision after today’s 5:00 e-mails. Doing so might help to shed light on the significance of these types of interviews for future applicants.</p>

<p>I had two as well, one with an alumni and the second was on-campus with an admissions officer.</p>

<p>Smoda61: It appears you have way too much time on your hands. To be posting about the significance or lack thereof of second interviews illustrates the point that people’s obsessions with the process are out of control. </p>

<p>Waitlisted after 2 as well! I feel bad though. A lot of qualified kids form my school got rejected and I really wasn’t anywhere near their range academically. Go figure.</p>

<p>A friend of my daughter was also called in for a second interview and he was accepted today too. He is not a CC member (that we know).</p>

<p>BTW Congrats Esbee, I enjoyed our conversations. Glad it worked out. :)</p>
