<p>Hey guys, does Penn only allow 2 teacher recs to be sent through the common application? How does one go about sending in additional recs (from teachers?) </p>
<p>And do all ivies restrict it at 2 on the common app, or is it only Penn the oddball?</p>
<p>I had 2 additional recommendations that weren’t from teachers and they were sent to Penn directly in the package my guidance counselor sent them with her letter.</p>
<p>Send them in an envelope with your name and birthday on the envelope and the letter.</p>
<p>You can only assign 2 teachers to do it online, but if the third teacher sends it by mail in an envelope addressed to admissions, they’ll get that too.</p>

I was also wondering, can GC submit their stuff (rec, transcript, everything) online? Like is it possible to avoid mailing anything to colleges? My GC told me I have to mail everything…><</p>
<p>^Yes a GC can sumbit everything online. They probably have an electronic file of your school profile and your transcript. It in many ways is easier to submit everything online because when Commonapp tells you it’s downloaded you know for sure that they recieved it whereas if you mail it there’s a level of uncertainty.</p>
<p>Mailing is definitely your best option. That’s what I did.</p>
